The About Page is the one page, or opportunity, you have to be completely selfish by talking only about yourself and people won’t think you are vain or full of yourself. The funny thing is there are just as many blog posts on creating the perfect “About Me” page as there are on creating an actual blog. Maybe that’s why people talk about other people so much. They just don’t know how to talk about themselves…. Let’s ponder this thought for a moment……. Okay, that is enough pondering for now. I, unlike so many people do not have on problem talking about myself. I can’t exactly remember the actual setting I was in when this happened, I think an interview, but one of the best ways I learned how to describe myself to others was through an exercise that required me to describe myself as if I were creating an ad for selling a home. It took me all of about 15 seconds to start blurting out my answer.
I’m Kristen, I have 3 degrees which include an Associate’s in Arts, Bachelor’s in Business Management, and a Bachelor’s in Accounting. I have over 15 years of accounting and business experience. I currently work in a Public Accounting firm in the greater Memphis area. I have two furbabies, Charley & Zuul “Zuzu,” an amazing boyfriend with two children who are just as equally amazing. For the last umpteen years I have been in school full-time, working full-time and part-time jobs, or studying for the CPA exam. I enjoy crafting, listening to music, trying different wines, reading cozy mysteries and love to cook. Over the last two years, I have lived on my own, and boy has it been a journey.
My journey included a major break-up, that led to a major breakdown, that led to finding myself and my version of happiness, that has led to this blog. I know I have left out a ton of details, but this is just the place to give you a preview of me. Organizing Kaos has come out of my journey of discovering that I have moderate to sever anxiety, ADHD and ADD. This blog is an outlet for me to share with you, all of you, how I work (Finding) and manage (Balancing) peace everyday. Yes, I know the correct spelling of chaos; however, I wasn’t paying $2,000 for a domain name and it seemed fitting to use Kaos since my name is Kristen and my intention is to share with you how I maneuver through life.
This blog isn’t something I want to use as a source of income, I have a day job that I really enjoy. I hope that the content of this blog will make you laugh, sometimes cry happy tears, inspire and motivate. I can’t promise that I won’t offend you or even agree with you, but what I do ask is that you respect my opinion as much as I respect yours. If there is something on this blog that does offend you or you disagree with, you have a couple options: 1) You can contact me directly through the “Contact Me” page and I will gladly listen; 2) You can comment on the blog post itself and share your opinion in a respectful manner; or 3) You can choose to no longer read the blog. Truthfully, I hope you choose options 1 or 2. This is because I love to hear other peoples opinions, views, and/or experiences of different topics. It is so rewarding for all involved to have people explain those differing opinions, views, and/or experiences in a manner that doesn’t have the intent to change the other people’s minds or make them defensive and protective of their own views. I have no problem agreeing to disagree. Plus you never know, you may teach me or others something that could alter or change their current views, just remember “you can catch more flies with honey than you can vinegar.”
